Gardai have confirmed that a man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Keith Branigan in 2019.
Mr Branigan was believed to be a gangland figure and was just 29 at the time he was shot dead in broad daylight.
Bullets struck him outside a mobile home in the Ashling Holiday Park in Clogherhead, Co Louth in 2019.

Investigators believed the attack was related to a feud between crime gangs in Drogheda that boiled over in 2018.
Earlier this week, Gardai confirmed that a man in his thirties was taken into custody in relation to the crime.
However, he has since been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Yesterday a second man, also aged in his thirties, was arrested by gardai and he is currently detained at Drogheda Garda station, as the gardai confirmed investigations are ongoing.
A spokesperson said: "Gardaí investigating the fatal shooting of a 29 year old man at a caravan park in Clogherhead, Co. Louth on Tuesday 27th August, 2019 arrested a man, aged in his 30s on Monday afternoon 20th February, 2023.
"He was detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at Drogheda Garda station.
