Man arrested in Celtic v Rangers referee Kevin Clancy threats probe

Kevin Clancy Celtic SFA Police Edinburgh Sheriff Court

A man has been arrested after referee Kevin Clancy allegedly received threats following the Old Firm derby last month.

Police have charged Daniel Samson, 25, after the SFA alerted them to abusive messages about the match official. This allegedly included threats to the 39-year-old and his family.

He has been released and will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.
