A man has been arrested following the theft of a generator in north Northumberland.
It was reported that several males were located by Northumbria Police in a disused quarry, one of whom was arrested as the generator was recovered from one of two white Ford Transit vans. A Volkswagen Golf also left the scene.
It appears that the machinery was stolen and driven to the location to transfer diesel from the generator to a large tank located within one of the vans.
