A man has been arrested after a teenager was rushed to hospital in a critical condition following a stabbing in Swords this evening.
The incident happened on Brookdale Avenue, Swords this evening at approximately 7pm. A 19-year-old man was rushed Beaumont Hospital in critical condition.
The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination. A garda spokeswoman confirmed that a man has been arrested.

A garda spokeswoman told Dublin Live: "A male, aged in his early 20s has since been arrested for an offence contrary to the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997 and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 in Swords Garda station.
"Gardaí in Swords are appealing to any person who may have information in relation to this incident to contact them," added the garda spokeswoman.
