Man arrested as teenage boy rushed to hospital after being hit by car

A teenager suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car in Trafford. Police were called out to Manor Avenue, in Sale, at around 8.40pm last night (April 6).

Greater Manchester Police says it followed a collision between a pedestrian and a car. The pedestrian, a 13-year-old boy, was rushed to hospital from the scene.

His injuries are not life-threatening, GMP says. Officers closed off the road, near to Firs Road, for a number of hours on Wednesday night.
