A man has been arrested following a seizure of €110,000 worth of suspected cannabis in Wicklow.
An Garda Siochana conducted a search as part of Operation Tara at a property in Ashford, Co Wicklow over the weekend. They unearthed a large quantity of cannabis during the raid, which is now being analysed by Forensic Science Ireland.
The man, aged in his 40s, was arrested on Monday evening in connection to the seizure and has since been charged. He is due to appear before Wicklow District Court, which sits in Bray, at 10:30 am this morning.

A Garda spokesperson said: “As part of Operation Tara, Gardaí in Wicklow have seized €111,000 worth of suspected cannabis herb following a search operation at a residence in Ashford, Co. Wicklow. At approximately midday on Saturday, 10th December 2022, Gardaí conducted a search under warrant at a residence in Ashford.”
Investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
