Police have issued a warning after a man was arrested early on Tuesday morning on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs.
It's been alleged the male was 'driving erratically with the lights of the vehicle out' on the Shankill Road and failed to stop for police.
The PSNI said he was later located in the Ballymagarry Lane area.
A post from Police North Belfast read: "Earlier this morning North Belfast Neighbourhood officers observed a vehicle being driven erratically with the lights out in the vicinity of the Shankill Road, which subsequently failed to stop for Police.
"Officers from West Belfast Neighbourhood Team located the vehicle a short time later in the Ballymagarry Lane area and the male driver was arrested for a number of motoring offences, including suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of drugs.
"Driving under the influence of any intoxicating substance is selfish and dangerous. NEVER EVER get behind the wheel of a car if you have consumed alcohol or drugs."
