Man arrested after 15-year-old schoolgirl sexually assaulted in Scottish city

A MAN has been arrested and charged after allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old school girl in Aberdeen.

Police were called to the Gardner Road area of the city at around 1am on Sunday following a report of a sexual offence involving a 15-year-old girl.

The force confirmed that an 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

He is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court at a later date.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a sexual offence following a report received around 1am on Sunday, September 20, 2026, in the Gardner Road area of Aberdeen.

“He is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court at a later date.”
