A man acting suspiciously in the street was armed with a knife.
Police have arrested a man, after spotting him in Kirkby at around 8am on Thursday, August 25. Officers on patrol stopped and searched him, after noticing acting suspiciously.
They found him carrying a knife in his pocket. A 62-year-old man, from Northwood, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and possession of a controlled Class B drug. He was taken into custody to be questioned.

Inspector David Morgan said: "Thanks to the vigilance of our officers a dangerous weapon has now been removed from our streets and can no longer be used to cause fear and harm in our communities in Kirkby and across Merseyside. Those involved in the supply of drugs and use of weapons have no regard for the lives they affect and the harm they can cause.
"This is why we are committed to pursuing those involved in serious and organised crime and bringing them to justice. Information from our communities plays a vital part in removing weapons and I would like to urge anyone with information on criminality in your area to please come forward so we can act upon it.
