A popular Liverpool ONE store that’s been open for more than a decade is to relocate.
It was announced way back in 2009 that Hollister Co. would open in the city and the American brand has proved popular with shoppers during its time in its current location on South John Street, next to Zara. Now, the brand is moving to a new space but shoppers won’t have far to go.
The retailer is moving into a new space, further along South John Street. Not only that, it will share the space with Hollister sub-brand Gilly Hicks. The new store, which will open this summer, will offer activewear and loungewear and bring the Abercrombie & Fitch Co. brands under the same roof for the first time in Liverpool. It’s the first time a Gilly Hicks store will open in the region.

Rob Deacon, Senior Asset Manager at Grosvenor, said: “It is fantastic to see Hollister reaffirm its commitment to Liverpool ONE by moving into a newer space, as well as introducing its sub-brand, Gilly Hicks. This deal is a testament to the momentum we are continuing to build at the destination and is particularly exciting given the new space will be one of the first model stores in Europe. We look forward to seeing the store open and feel confident it will be a hit with Liverpool ONE’s visitors.”
The news follows a successful 2022 for Liverpool ONE, with 36 brands, totaling over 350,000 sq ft, having signed, opened or renewed in the year. Highlights include Gravity, M&S, Tessuti, Charlotte Tilbury, Cricket, Under Armour, Bershka, Bread Street Kitchen and COSMO. Liverpool ONE welcomed over 22m visitors to the destination last year and boasted a 14.5% increase of sales compared to 2019.

Hollister’s new store and Gilly Hicks’s entry to Liverpool ONE follows the recent announcement that German premium fashion brand, BOSS, will be relocating and upsizing their Liverpool ONE store to Paradise Street, joining Tessuti’s new global flagship store.
