Major fuel stop between Queensland and NT closes indefinitely after serious kitchen fire

A key fuel stop between Queensland and the Northern Territory will be closed "for the foreseeable future" after a major fire in the kitchen early this morning.

The Barkly Homestead Roadhouse is the only fuel station for 500 kilometres between Tennant Creek and the border community of Camooweal in outback Queensland.
