Signature dish: Maison François is known for its pâté en croûte

In early winter last year, chefs, critics and even sauce merchant Loyd Grossman all headed to St James’s restaurant Maison François for the restaurant’s inaugural ‘Croûte Off’, which saw restaurants across the capital compete to cook up the capital’s finest pâté en croûte, the host’s signature dish. Now both Grossman and the competition are set to return, with this year’s event set for November 17.

Grossman will be joined in the blind judging by chef Ravneet Gill, critic Tom Parker-Bowles and Saturday Kitchen presenter Matt Tebbutt, as well as returning judges Fay Maschler MBE and Matthew Fort.
