Maharashtra: Back Droupadi Murmu for President, Shiv Sena MP urges Uddhav Thackeray

Droupadi Murmu Sena Uddhav Thackeray Shiv Sena Rahul Shewale NDA Bharatiya Janata Party Maharashtra Balasaheb Thackeray Eknath Shinde

MUMBAI: In an indication that Shiv Sena MPs want party president Uddhav Thackeray to try and mend ties with the BJP, Sena MP Rahul Shewale on Tuesday wrote to Thackeray urging him to order Sena MPs to support NDA candidate Droupadi Murmu for the presidential polls, reports Chaitanya Marpakwar.

Sena sources said that with Shewale making a request, minutes after rebel faction's Deepak Kesarkar's plea to the opposition to back Murmu, Uddhav may let Sena MPs vote for the NDA candidate instead of Yashwant Sinha.
