A controversial bill introduced by MAGA-aligned Senator Bernie Moreno would force millions of dual citizens, including First Lady Melania Trump and her son Barron, to renounce or relinquish their Slovenian citizenship or lose their American nationality.

The Exclusive Citizenship Act of 2025, introduced on 1 December, demands 'exclusive allegiance' to the United States and would eliminate dual citizenship.
