MAFS UK couples still together after bombshell reunion - tears, rows and shock split

Married At First Sight UK returned for a reunion episode last night to reveal which couples are still together and who is now single.

All 20 contestants gathered for a final dinner party weeks after the three-month experiment ended.

While some put on a united front as they walked in, there was shock – and some tears – as it was confirmed which couples had now gone their separate ways.

The second part of the reunion episode airs on E4 at 9pm tonight, when there is set to be even more fireworks.

It was even reported producers had to ‘step in’ to stop fights between cast members during filming.

Here are all the couples whose love has stood the time of test – and who is now single and ready to mingle.

Matt and Whitney – split

They said they were 'in love' but Matt and Whitney are no longer together (E4)

Matt and Whitney were one of the most controversial couples on this year’s show - as they were both originally married to other people.

When their marriages didn’t work out, it was clear there was chemistry between them and they asked producers if it was something they could ‘explore’ on the show.

They were allowed to continue as a ‘dating’ couple, but the decision divided the group with some feeling they had ‘abused the process’.

After one week together they declared they were in love, but despite the others assuming they would still be a couple to ‘save face’, Whitney walked in alone.

Revealing they had split soon after the vow renewals, she claimed it was the three-hour distance between them that caused it - and also because she had 'cut and run too many times'.

She said: “I'm never going to regret anything that we went through. I still have love for Matthew for sure.”

Sophie and Jonathan – split

Jonathan said he couldn't give Sophie what she wanted (E4)

Although Sophie and Jonathan chose to renew their vows, it was revealed they are no longer together.

Walking in first, Sophie told her cast members she was nervous about seeing Jonathan again and felt he didn’t value her.

She added: “I haven’t seen him for a while. We had our ups and downs. We’ve very different people.”

After giving Sophie a ‘frosty’ hug as he entered the room, Jonathan told the camera: “Sophie has so much to offer and I’m sure she’ll make someone happy one day. That person just isn’t me.”

Zoe and Jenna – together

Zoe and Jenna are still totally loved up (E4)

One of this year’s gay couples on the show, Zoe and Jenna looked to be the strongest of the group as they walked in – confirming they are very much still together.

The pair looked totally loved up at the reunion and revealed they had managed to see each other at least once a week since the show ended.

Jenna told Zoe over dinner: “I’m really happy that we’ve made it to this moment. I’m really proud of us.”

Zoe added: “To come back together when you can see how many people have tried it and it hasn’t worked out. You tick so many of the things that I asked for.”

April and George – together

April and George also walked into the reunion as a couple.

They shared despite the distance between them, they had made it work outside the experiment and seemed loved up.

Later round the dinner table George told her: “As you know I’m completely in love with you. As far as my heart, I’m done if you break it.”

In a heartfelt moment, April replied: “I need you to believe I won’t. I’m not your past, I’m your future.”

However, the scenes were filmed before 40-year-old George was arrested on suspicion of controlling and coercive behaviour, when three of his exes came forward claiming he was an ‘emotional abuser’.

A spokesman for George said he “categorically denies the allegations”, adding: “As a father of daughters he finds these accusations deeply upsetting and does not condone abuse nor behaves in that way.”

Chanita and Jordan – split

Viewers were shocked Chanita and Jordan didn't work out (E4)

The most surprising split on this year’s series was Chanita and Jordan, who shocked their fellow cast members when they walked in separately at the reunion.

Billed as the strongest couple from week one, it was revealed the pair split after filming wrapped.

Chanita broke down in tears as she entered the room saying she felt ‘overwhelmed’ she wasn’t walking in with Jordan like she normally would.

Sharing what had happened between them round the dinner table, she told him: “I felt like you didn’t appreciate me. You were bullsh**ing me and not being honest. You led me on.”

She added: “To be honest Jordan maturity-wise, you are not ready for this intensity of a relationship. You don’t understand I’m worth fighting for. If your heart is not in, you should never have taken me to final vows. That’s the issue.”

Jordan later said: “I’m so sorry. I’m sorry if I ever upset you. I’m sorry.”
