Madrid erupts as Spain score first goal against France in World Cup semi-final

Madrid erupted into celebration after Spain scored the first goal in their World Cup semi-final match against France.

In the 22nd minute, Mikel Oyarzabal converted a penalty after Lucas Dinge fouled Lamine Yamal. The goal marks Oyarzabal’s fifth goal at the 2026 tournament.

Fans in Madrid can be seen jumping with joy at the goal, as Spain storms ahead.

The winner will earn a spot in New York for Sunday’s final where they will face either England or Argentina.
