Madison Keys definitely had the crowd behind her in her quarterfinal win at the U.S. Open over Marketa Vondrousova on Wednesday night.
How loud was it in Queens? So much so that she couldn’t hear what her finace, Bjorn Fratangelo (who’s also a tennis player), was trying to say to her during the match.
That was fine. She didn’t need it. But when asked about hearing advice during the match, she replied, “To be honest, I couldn’t hear [expletive] out here tonight.”
