Both carriageways on the M8 are closed this morning due to a collision on the busy stretch of motorway in Renfrewshire.
Police are at the scene near Bishopton and drivers are being told to allow extra time for their travels.
The incident happened at around 1.50am this morning, on the M8 between junction 30 and 31, western end.
The crash has been described as "serious" and involves one occupant.

Traffic is heavy on approach with all motorists being diverted, causing major delays.
Traffic Scotland said: "The M8 is currently closed in both directions at Junction 31 due to a road traffic incident. Road users are advised to use the available signed diversion route and allow extra time for their journey."
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: ""Around 1.50 am on Monday, 22 May 2023, police were called to serious road crash involving a car with a single occupant westbound on the M8 between Bishopton and Langbank. Officers remain at the scene whilst enquiries continue.
"The road is due to be opened shortly."
