Lynsey Bennett 'amazed' at progress as shares 'good news' in update on cancer treatment from Germany

Lynsey Bennett has shared some "good news" about how her cancer treatment is progressing in Germany

The mother-of-two travelled for over 50 hours to get to the facility last month where she hopes to undergo treatment for the next few weeks.

Sharing an update with her 59,000 Instagram followers, the Longford native said she was "amazed" by some of her test results which indicate she is responding to the treatment.

She posted a picture on Tuesday as she explored the local area over the weekend.

"With everything that’s going on in the world I haven’t posted until now…. I got some good news near the end of last week," she said.

"As well as then (sic) I did have a heavy bled from my bowels yesterday with clots so no blood thinners for me again for a while which am not that hugely long back doing every day.

"But anyway….amazingly my tests results came back and my CA 125 tumour markers are at 25.3 whoop which anything under 35 is brilliant and normal range for a healthy person.

"This would indicate that I am responding to all I am doing. My gratitude, mind set, energy machines and helping my immune system get boosted and everyone’s prayers and good intentions is working for me.

"How amazing would it be to get funding to set this up at home for people with all different issues and getting to boost their immune system. Tempted to get a petition going."

In further posts on her Instagram stories, Lynsey provided links explaining what a CA 125 test is.

The test measures the amount of the protein CA 125, or cancer antigen 125, is in your blood.

Lynsey was previously told by doctors last year that she had just six to eight months to live but she has since left medics amazed by her progress.

She revealed last week that her tumours have recently grown and that she has "lots of bad days" while living with cervical cancer.

However, she is hopeful the treatment in Germany, which is similar to that which she underwent in Mexico, will have a positive impact on her health.
