The plane carrying Luigi Mangione back to New York has successfully landed on Long Island. Mangione, who waived his extradition to New York during a hearing in Blair County, Pennsylvania, this morning, is now set to be transferred to a NYPD helicopter for transportation to Manhattan.
Following his formal waiver of extradition, Mangione was promptly placed on a flight to New York to face the charges against him. He is expected to arrive at the federal courthouse in New York City later today to address the four federal counts related to the death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
