LUDHIANA: People caught a bike rider who had allegedly come to buy drugs from drugs smuggler in Meat market area of Ludhiana's Khanna on Thursday. Police meanwhile booked and arrested the person identified as Avtar Singh of Lalheri village.
As per reports, Avtar had allegedly come to meat market area to buy drugs from a drug peddler. After buying the drugs, he was leaving on motorcycle when people caught him. The reports suggest that the onlooker started making video of the accused and called police.
On being informed, cops from Khanna city two police station reached the spot and took the accused in custody.
SSP Khanna Amneet Kondal said that the accused has been booked under NDPS act at Khanna city two police station and he has been arrested. She added that a bit of heroin, a lighter and a silver paper was recovered from him.
