LUCKNOW: In a major relief to students living in paying guest houses, migrant labor, street vendors, under privileged, or anyone who does not have LPG connection in the city limits, the Indian oil has introduced 5 kg "Chhotu" door-to-door gas cylinder service.
An e-rickshaw of Indian oil with 5 kg gas cylinder will travel across 30 different locations within the limits of Lucknow in a month to campaign for instant LPG connection.
Spokesperson of the Indian Oil said, "For Chhotu there is no need of address proof. It is a BIS approved mini cylinder which is very safe as compared to the local nonstandard unsafe cylinders available in the market. IOCL has started the door-to-door service of the 5kg cylinder from Sunday."
"The cylinder would cost Rs 682 for refill and a new cylinder would cost Rs 1,626. Initially, we have introduced one e-rickshaw which will travel across 30 different locations in the city in 30 days and will revisit the locations every month. Later, based on demand for cylinders, we will increase the number of e-rickshaws," he added.
The area where the e-rickshaw would visit are Kapoorthala, Alambagh, IIM, AKTU, Bakshi-Ka-Talab, BBD, Integral University, engineering college, Patrakarpuram, Khargapur Gomtinagar, Puraniya, Munshipuliya, Ashiyana, 1090 roundabout, Dandahiya, Lekhraj, Aminabad, Chowk, Khurram Nagar, Balaganj, Daliganj, Mahanagar, Telibagh, Vikas Nagar, Faizullaganj, Badshahnagar, Chinhat, Hanskheda, Resettlement colony of Para, Matiyari and Gomti Nagar extension.
