Lucknow: In debt after bad land deal, JE, wife, daughter end life by consuming poison

LUCKNOW: In a tragic incident, three members of a family died after consuming insecticide-laced ‘tehri’ (rice-vegetables dish) in Jankipuram area of the city on Wednesday.

A native of Sultanpur, the deceased Shailendra Kumar, a junior engineer in the irrigation department, allegedly consumed the tehri and also gave it to his wife Geeta (38) and daughter Prachi (17).
