Arsenal continue to wait for the departure of Lucas Torreira having agreed on a deal with Turkish side Galatasaray. It had looked as though the Uruguayan would be making the trip across Europe but the move has stalled with the 25-year-old assessing his options.
However, Arsenal have been given an update and will be pleased to know that a decision will be made today. Pablo Betancourt, Torreira’s agent, claims that a decision will be made today on whether his client will make the switch.
AS reported Mustafa Ozgur Sancar tweeted quoting Betancourt confirming that a new meeting would be held with the Turkish club in Italy. An ironic destination for talks considering the Uruguayan’s previous preference for his footballing future.

''We will be meeting today with Galatasaray in Milano. Today we know if we sign or not! I am optimistic that they will increase the economic proposal, on the sports side Galatasaray is a great club!”
With Torreira potentially out the door, it will be hoped this gives the club more room to manoeuvre a new central midfield signing. Mikel Arteta confirmed the club remain very active in the market and hinted that departures were key to new additions.
“We are really active as you can see with incomings and outgoings,” he said. “Everything is still open, it’s a long window, a lot has happened.
“It’s incredible how much business the clubs have done across the Premier League, and it shows how competitive it is and this season is not going to stop that. Players are going to have the need to leave, some others to move and everything is open still.”
Youri Tielemans continues to be of interest to Arsenal football.london understands. Although the club have worked hard to keep their business under wraps so a surprise could yet be in store before the window closes.
