Love Island viewers forced to look away during raunchiest heart rate challenge yet

Love Island viewers were left shocked by how raunchy the heart rate challenge was this year as the islanders got down and dirty for the X-rated dance challenge.

The dating show has a number of challenges that it brings out to help the couples bond, add a touch of drama and make for some great TV.

While we still have a few weeks to wait before the hilarious talent show, playing mummies and daddies or the infamous movie night, there are still plenty to get excited about.

The Islanders were informed they would be taking part in the heart rate challenge that will see each person perform a dance or show off their moves in the hope to get the opposite sex hot underneath the collar.

Following Molly’s blunt and dramatic exit on Friday evening, it’s no surprise that everyone was looking to let their hair down and let off some steam.

Dubliner Catherine, who is currently coupled up with Scott, received a text and shouted it out to the rest of the Villa.

The islanders rocked plenty of costumes including a sassy cheerleader, cheeky cupid, a sexy fireman, a knockout boxer and more.

Following the raunchy dance session, several viewers took to Twitter to discuss just how x-rated the heart rate challenge has got in recent years.

"OMG I literally feel like I'm watching soft porn," one viewer joked.

"When did the heart rate challenge get THIS sexualised. Oh my god, it's literally porn," another echoed.

"Wow! Heart rate challenge is way too much," another complained.

While a fourth joked: "I had to turn off the TV when the heart rate challenge came on!!! My mum didn't know where to look."

Love Island airs Sunday to Friday nights at 9pm on Virgin Media in Ireland.
