Love Island viewers wanted the series to revert back to the original format, after a 'show first' saw huge changes to the launch.
One key element was changed for the first time ever, as the boys and girls had no say in who they were initially partnered up with.
Host Laura Whitmore told the Islanders that instead it was up to the public to decide who was put with who.
The vote result was confirmed during the show, as the girls including Gemma Owen and Indiyah Polack found out which of the boys, including Luca Bish and Dami Hope, had been chosen for each of them.
As soon as the results were confirmed, viewers called out the decisions - even though it was a public vote.
But many were left asking why the show would make the change, feeling there was no drama - with fans not happy with who was put together.
Instead, fans called for the show to let the Islanders pick again, and urged ITV to not reuse the twist for any future series.
Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "They should never allow the public to pick the couples again btw."
Another commented: "Day 1 #LoveIsland observation: The public should not have chosen the couples.. Why was this a thing?"
A third fan agreed: "100% prefer the old way when the girls step forward for whoever they fancy. Public picking for them is boring."
The comments kept coming too, with another tweet reading: "Free my girls from this public vote.. let’s not do this again."
Viewers weren't the only ones not happy about the couples, with some of the girls clearly wanting to be paired up with someone else.
Bombshell Davide Sanclimenti soon had all eyes on him as he made his arrival, and at the end of the episode he was informed he would have to choose a girl to steal in 24 hours time.
Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
