Love Island star Maxwell Samuda has revealed he won’t be looking for a career in showbusiness following his stint on the winter edition of the dating show.
The finance student and restaurant host, 24, has confirmed he will be looking for work in the same field as his studies, rather than looking to become famous.
But speaking to Secure The Insecure with Johnny Seifert podcast, Samuda said he wouldn’t totally turn his back on the profile starring on the show had given him.
“Right now the way that I see things is if I can have a bit of a combination with both of these areas at the moment then that would be amazing,” he said.
“I worked too hard throughout my undergrad and my masters to say that I’m going to have nothing to do with that now.
“But then I have an opportunity with like the show and social media, there’s a small bit of influence if there’s things that I want to create, it makes it a bit more easier to do that now.
“I got an offer for a graduate job the day that I went to go on Love Island that I accepted so I will still be doing that later in the year.”
Love Island returned with a batch of new contestants set last Monday.
The 10th series of the ITV dating show will see broadcaster Maya Jama present her first eight-week summer series after taking over from Laura Whitmore for the last winter series in South Africa.
