Love Island fans were left concerned for Remi after he delivered a 'painful' interview on last night's Aftersun.
The 22-year-old model, who hails from Manchester, was left devastated as he appeared on the spin-off show after his early exit from the series.
He officially entered the villa on Tuesday - but his time was cut short as he sadly waved goodbye to fellow islanders on Sunday.
It was the girls' turn to pick who they wanted to couple up with in last night's episode.
Remi had formed a flirtatious connection with Indiyah after choosing her for a date upon his entrance, but she decided to go for Ikenna - who she has been coupled up with from the start - instead.
This meant Remi was single and had to be dumped from the island.
He made his first TV appearance on Aftersun, where he was interviewed by host Laura Whitmore.
She asked him: "How is it being out?"
"It's gutting," an upset Remi said, adding: "I'm just happy I got to meet Jay."
Laura continued: "You entered the villa as a bombshell, so it's always difficult going into a villa where there's already people and there's already relationships made. What was it like when you walked in?"
Remi said: "That's an experience of a lifetime, walking in with my guy. But it's tough."
Laura then rounded off the interview by asking if he could rap for the audience.
After a moment of silence, Remi began spouting lyrics at the crowd, before cutting off halfway through.
He was then greeted with an applause after the awkward silence.
Many fans rushed to Twitter to comment on the interview - with people saying Remi looked upset and that he shouldn't have been asked to rap.
One person wrote: "That episode of #aftersun could be redacted, cut, or removed in its entirety. Nobody needs to see that Remi interview ever again, least of all Remi himself."
A second shared: "Remi seems so sad on aftersun :("
A third commented: "Omg I just watched #LoveIsland Aftersun and Remi’s interview was actually hard to watch. I feel so bad, he looks so disheartened. And Laura is something for making him rap."
Another penned: "Nah they did Remi DIRTY on Aftersun! Imagine the man flopped his bars again! Jesus is Lord."
A fifth shared: "Nah Remi “rapping” on Aftersun has FINISHED me."
However host Laura confirmed Remi had been asked in advance if he wanted to prepare a rap, which he agreed to.
She posted on the social media platform: "Remi is a rapper and asked in good faith in advance if he’d rap and prepare something which he did. Live Telly is nerve wrecking, believe me, so maybe he was a bit nervous but he deserved to have his time. Also I want to make Remi & Afia happen!"
It appears Remi was fine following the interview, as he posted to his Instagram Story: "Grateful for all the support from yous all. It's not easy being in there. I tried my best."
The Mirror has contacted ITV and Remi's representative for a comment.
*Love Island airs at 9pm tonight on ITV2.
