Love Island's Paige and Jacques finally kiss but viewers suspect heartbreak is on the cards

Welsh paramedic Paige Thorne finally got a snog from her Love Island beau Jacques O'Neill on the terrace in the latest episode of the ITV2 reality show. Monday's (June 20) instalment saw the couple share their first kiss ahead of the dramatic cliffhanger when one boy and one girl were voted off the show, the results of that vote will be seen in Tuesday's episode.

Paige and Jacques have been a couple since week two when the former was chosen by bombshell entry, a former ex-boyfriend of fellow islander, Gemma Owen, daughter of famous ex-footballer Michael.

They hadn't yet kissed despite being seemingly smitten with each other and playing the Lip Service game where they had to spit a cocktail into each other's mouths, but that was all change this evening as Jacques told the other male contestants he was planning to seal the deal later in the episode. Paige and Jacques discussed their relationship saying it had been 'an easy ride' so far and they were enjoying each other's company.

After they finally kissed Paige told viewers: "Oh my God, why am I grinning so much over a kiss? That was a very good first kiss, 100%."

But Love Island viewers were both over the moon about the kiss and suspicious that Jacques will break Paige's heart as soon as they get to Casa Amor.

Suuz is happy Paige finally got a snog from Jacques, saying: "OI. I am HAPPY for Paige boy! Jacques. Woi! That timing was IMPECCABLE." While @h7ney wrote: "Jacques and Paige will get far they are the perfect winners to the producers. I’m sick."

But, there were plenty of fans worried for Paige, let's hope they are wrong. ameliaxrosex wrote: "Anyone feel like Paige and Jacques will be so cute and then he will ditch her in Casa " SimplyGabbi added: "Paige is sweet but WAAAAY too smitten babe you’re leaving yourself bare vulnerable Omds." And Ellie Snowball said: "I love Paige and Jacques so much but I can see his head turning and I’m not ready for it "

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox
