Love Island's Luca moving 280 miles as Gemma refuses to leave Chester

Love Island runners-up Luca Bish and Gemma Owen are taking the next steps after leaving the villa.

After Davide and Ekin-Su took home the crown, they embraced each other and struggled to hold back tears. Luca and Gemma, realising they had come second, were all smiles, though did look slightly disappointed.

Luca, 23, has been smitten with Gemma Owen, 19, since almost the start of the show - after a rocky start. They were also the first couple in this year's series to say the "L" word to one another

Despite being extremely loved up, they are not actually official boyfriend and girlfriend yet. Luca has said he has huge things planned for a day in the near future when he will ask her to be his other half.

And now, the fishmonger from Brighton has lifted the lid on his plans to move to Gemma's hometown of Chester. He said: "There is no middle ground - it’s Chester or nothing!

"I’m happy to go wherever she wants me to go. I haven’t got too many commitments back home so it’s easier for me to move.

"Whatever makes us happy and whatever is right we’ll do. Hopefully if I move near her, in time we’ll get a place together. Just to be near her family I’ll love. Hearing stories about her barbecues and stuff like that, I’m quite excited and I feel like I’ll fit right in."
