Love Island's Laura Anderson says she and ex Gary Lucy 'planned' the pregnancy

Laura Anderson reveals she and her ex-boyfriend Gary Lucy "planned" for the pregnancy.

The Love Island star, who is currently 27 weeks pregnant, met Gary on Celebs Go Dating and enjoyed a whirlwind romance.

They broke up earlier this year but surprised fans when they announced that they were expecting a baby.

Laura and Gary's relationship has been souring ever since, with the former taking swipes at the EastEnders star.

Despite the "shock" of the pregnancy, Laura recently admitted it was also "planned".

"It was planned and it was both of our decisions," she explained.

"I always imagined having that traditional family set-up in my thirties."

Laura also told OK! that Gary has been in "two minds" about being present at her birth.

"He’s currently in two minds so I’ve asked my mum as well, as you are allowed two birthing partners," she said.

Earlier this month, Laura admitted she initially wanted to reconcile with the soap star.

She also revealed that she had opted for a "traditional" name for her daughter, rather than going down the celeb trend of a Disney-inspired one.

Laura was reportedly left devastated when her baby gender reveal announcement was ruined by her ex Gary.

The former Hollyoaks actor took it upon himself to announce to the world that they are expecting a baby girl - without getting consent from his pregnant ex-girlfriend.

Laura is believed to have been hoping to keep the news private until later this year.

Opening up for the first time since the drama as she showed off her blossoming bump, Laura confessed that it has been a "bit of a rollercoaster so far".

“Going through a public break-up while pregnant and reading mistruths in the media has been a challenge. I just want to be positive and move forward, and I’m really excited about her coming along. I think if I can get through this, I can get through anything," she told OK! magazine.

Revealing that she had initially wanted to reconcile and work out, she hinted to eventually being unable to do so because of "things [she] found out since then" and "the fact that nothing has been discussed or resolved".
