Love Island star Demi Jones revealed she's been 'so sick' and has been lying in bed for the last week as she tackles the aftermath of her cancer battle.
The 24-year-old reality TV star was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2021 before she was given the all-clear in December of the same year.
At the time, she shared her journey with followers on Instagram and provided updates on her thyroidectomy.
And now, the TV personality took to her Instagram Stories to share a selfie and an update on her health.
She said: "I'm literally so sick rn. It's been a whole week and I've not improved, I've also got conjunctivitis so I can't film any content or post much. [sic]
"I'm basically a little hermit in bed until further notice.
"My immune system has defo been compromised since cancer, can any thyroid sufferers relate?"
Last year, Demi insisted that her life will 'never be the same' as she learned to live with the effects of cancer.
Demi is now living a 'brilliant' life - but she hasn't been able to forget the incredibly tough time she's been through in recent years.
Sharing her experience, Demi explained: "The people I've spoken to with cancer, we always say there's life before cancer and there's life after cancer and it's never the same.
"You have to differentiate your life in two sections, so I'm learning to live with it and I'm learning to live with side effects and everything. But everything is going brilliant."
Following her cancer battle, Demi has been focusing on what is important in life - and she has been seeing life with a whole new perspective.
At the time, Demi told OK! Magazine that she no longer worries about the 'little things' in life that used to make her upset.
Instead, she has encouraged others to enjoy themselves and 'have fun' while they are young, happy, and healthy.
"I'm still dealing with my dad at home, who is terminally ill, I've overcome cancer and I think life is so short. Enjoy yourself, do what you want to do, spend the money when you want to spend it and just have fun," the inspiring star shared.
Doctors told Demi that she was free of cancer in December 2021 - just seven months after being diagnosed.
