Love Island ’s Dami Hope has been branded a hypocrite after “cheating” on Indiyah Polack with Casa Amor bombshell Summer Botwe.
The Irish heartthrob was seen cosying up to 22-year-old events décor business owner Summer from Hertfordshire in Monday night’s explosive episode.
The duo headed up to the terrace for a chat in private while the other boys got to know the new arrivals.
But Dami could be heard making a savage dig at Ekin-Su over the choice of location for his chat with Summer.
Summer asked the microbiologist: “Do you feel sneaky up here?”
Dami replied, quipping: “Well, we didn’t crawl in so it’s fine,” in a dig at his co-star Ekin-Su who famously crawled on her hands and knees onto the terrace with Jay Younger when she was coupled up with Davide Sanclimenti and caused ructions in the villa.
“It’s a secret but it’s not a secret, you know?” Summer agreed.
Dami then tells her she’s his type and that he wouldn’t be up on the terrace with her if she wasn’t.
Summer asked Dami to read her mind, which he gladly does and tells her: “You fancy me. You feel like there is a bit of chemistry between us. You want to kiss me. You want to share a bed with me tonight. You still definitely want to kiss me.”
The pair share some flirtatious giggles then Dami leans in for a kiss, much to the surprise of fans watching at home.
Dami could later be heard justifying the kiss in the Beach Hut, where he said: “Don’t get me wrong, I do like Indiyah a lot, like, I do. But we are here to actually see who we have better connections with.
“I feel like Casa Amor is actually, like, the ultimate test, man. And at the end of the day it’ll either make you guys stronger or it’ll break you. But there’s no way to know if you don’t actually take the test.”
Fans took to social media to voice their shock as the situation played out on screen.
One said: “’we didn’t crawl in’ Dami really thinks he’s better than Ekin-Su ?
“Dami casually throwing shade at Ekin-Su & Jay,” a second noted.
“’Was that a dig at Ekin? Ekin-Su had these boys RATTLED lmao as she should, time to get off your high horse Dami,” another slammed.
A fourth ranted: “Dami had stuff to say about what Ekin when she did that only for him to do the same thing is laughable. What a hypocrite.”
Another pointed out: “Dami had BARE energy for Ekin-Su when she dared to kiss someone else after knowing Davide for like 2 days and now look how he’s moving. Deffo one of those guys who says ‘men can cheat but when women do it it means more’.” [sic]
