Love Island saw its infamous Movie Night begin to unfold in the South African villa on Wednesday night, as the cracks already started to show.
The ITV2 reality show confirmed Movie Night would be returning at the end of Tuesday evening’s show, after days of pleading from eager ITV2 viewers.
The iconic segment sees the Islanders watch a variety of clips from the show, which they have never been privy to and never failed to spark drama in the villa.
The Islanders saw clips play for both Casey and Tanya, with more chaos teased for Thursday evening in the closing moments of the episode.
As the sneak peak showed Jessie in tears again over Will and a furious Samie staring down Tom, Love Island fans now think only one couple could come out of the Movie Night unscathed.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: “Burn all these couples to the ground please. Kai and Sanam to win at this point.”
“At this rate Kai and Sanam are the strongest couple in that villa, the rest are so fragile,” a second echoed.
A third added: “Love Island I hope you have a plan B because the villa mash up and mash up bad in shambles there'll be no couples after this.”
Another added: “There’s gonna be no couples left to have a Love Island final,” as a fellow fan chimed: “This movie night is gonna break a lot of couples.”
Movie Night was teased ahead of the show in a first look clip, which showed Ron receiving a text message from producers, sending a flurry of activity through the villa.
Ron read aloud: “Islanders, it’s time to get glam hit the red carpet and grab some popcorn as tonight it’s Movie Night #Blockbuster #ThrillerInTheVilla.”
As news hits the Villa, a stunned Tanya says: “No,” before Shaq asked: “Is there anything you want to tell me?”
The Islanders were then seen in the clip walking down the villa garden red carpet to sit within their boys and girls teams.
Each side faced a pop quiz of questions to earn the right to pick a clip, with the options for the first film for the girls including Free Will-Y, The Fast and the Curious and No Time To Kai.
Love Island confirmed the return of the fan favourite part of the show at the end of Tuesday evening's episode, as voiceover star Iain Stirling said: "Tomorrow night" and a 'Movie Night' sign appeared alongside the familiar trumpets of the 21st Century Fox sound logo.
