Love Island viewers are convinced a moment on the show was set-up, after a row between Gemma Owen and Luca Bish on the ITV series.
Gemma made quite the blunder following the arrival of her ex-boyfriend Jacques O'Neill, in awkward scenes on Tuesday night.
She accidentally called Luca 'Jacques', and it was picked up on by several of her co-stars including Luca, and Paige Thorne who is currently pared up with the newcomer.
Luca seemed to be giving Gemma a back massage, as they got cosy after the first dumping of the series and the departure of Afia Tonkmor.
He then began pulling her into his chest quite forcefully, leading her to tell him to stop.
It's then that Gemma went to call him by her ex's name before stopping herself, as everyone looked stunned, and it was quickly brought up by others.
As an angry Luca walked off, Gemma checked with the other Islanders: "That was bad wasn’t it?"
"That was bad, I am not gonna lie, he was stood there, you had your guy rubbing your shoulders, he’s stood there and you’re like… 'Oh Jacques,'" Paige then replied.
As Gemma went to speak to Luca about it, things got heated as Luca made his annoyance clear by rolling his eyes as she went to defend herself.
He said: "You just called me Jacques and then you two are inside together. Why would that not be weird?"
She replied: "I am not..." before stopping, as the camera showed Luca rolling his eyes, clearly annoyed.
She then shouted back: "Don't roll your eyes at me you p***k, it's a genuine mistake. I'm sorry, there's nothing more to it."
Now viewers think the moment was staged, as they weren't buying the tense scenes - especially as the pair quickly laughed off their drama and moved on.
Taking to Twitter, one fan commented: "Gemma called him Jacques on purpose this is staged."
Another agreed: "That was so fake and staged but still to even call someone your exs name what even is this show , now luca is made out to be the bad guy when he's done nothing wrong."
A third fan said: "idk but for me, i feel like she said jacques on purpose like idk it seems so forced and staged yk."
Another fan said: "that was very staged," as a fifth fan tweeted: "Ngl I feel like that was abit staged to cause drama."
The comments kept coming too with another reading: "That mistake was so staged," backed by another theory that read: "So staged."
The big moment had been teased on Monday night, and before the show confirmed what the drama was about viewers did in fact crack the case.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: "gemma has 10000% called Luca by Jacques name or some s**t. petty but i’m ready for it."
Another viewer guessed the same, writing: "Omg did Gemma call Luca… Jacques maybe ?!??"
A third fan added: "I’m calling it now, Gemma accidentally calls Luca Jacques."
Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
