Love Island fans believe they might have twigged who the winning couple of this series of the ITV2 reality show could be, after the cast’s finale dates were teased.
As it's the last week in the South African villa, the couples will all be treated to one extravagant last date ahead of the grand finale with host Maya Jama next week.
The dates kick off in Thursday evening’s episode as the Islanders receive a text from producers saying they’re set to be whisked away.
Waking up in the villa, Samie reads aloud: “Islanders, the time has come for each of you to go on your final date! #ADateToRemember
Shaq says: “You just know the final dates are going to be amazing.”
But there’s a twist: in a Love Island first they will have to vote for their least compatible couple while on their romantic dates, putting one couple at risk of being dumped.
Ron and Lana are the first couple to be whisked out of the villa and are treated to a magical floating breakfast and a performance from a South African choir.
Later, Samie and Tom are next and arrive at a private mountainside restaurant in style, as Tom drives them in a classic red Ferrari.
Located in the middle of a lake and decorated with red rose petals, a harpist serenades the happy couple.
Then as night falls, Shaq and Tanya are invited to a date underneath the stars, where they are greeted by a string quartet within a rose and candle lit location.
Love Island fans now think there is a clue as to who the producers of the show could be lining up as a frontrunner for the win next Monday – with many noting the apparent extravagance of Tom and Samie’s date over their fellow Islanders.
Taking to Twitter once the dates had been teased, one fan wrote: “I think you’ll find that Samie and Tom are THAT couple that are well and truly being pushed for winners spot.”
Another echoed: “Sami and Toms date Vs Ron and Lanas?? Are you taking the p***?? Producers really have a favourite, they push these two fake people on us 24/7.”
Another commented on the rule change for voting the least compatible couple, as they wrote: “Nah Love Island changed the rules to keep Samie and Tom in. Usually couples have to choose two of the least compatible couples to be vulnerable.”
