Love Island fans fume as Boris Johnson survives No10 dumping - just minutes into ITV2 show's start

Love Island fans fumed as viewers discovered the result from Boris Johnson’s confidence vote - just minutes as the ITV2 reality show kicked off.

The Prime Minister hung on to his place at Number 10, despite a huge rebellion from his own MPs.

Conservative MPs voted 211 to 148 in favour of keeping Johnson as party leader earlier this evening.

And the news of his survival came just minutes into the start of the latest series of Love Island - which left many fans raging, the Mirror reports.

One joked: “Ffs not us trying to enjoy #LoveIsland and also finding out Boris is still PM where’s the surprise."

While another pleaded: "put Boris in the #LoveIsland so we can vote him out!."

A third declared: "Boris still there. So #LoveIsland escapism needed more than ever!"

"Please Love Island is on, I don’t want to hear anything about Boris Johnson Kmt #LoveIsland," another commented.

One wrote: "Wonder if Boris would get voted off the Villa #LoveIsland."

The ITV2 show's 2022 series is launched this evening, complete with a brand new set of sexy singletons hoping to find love.

Tonight's episode saw the Islanders meet for the first time - but a bombshell arrival sparked chaos on the show.

After each of the couples were coupled up - in pairings chosen for the first time by the public - new boy Davide made his entrance.

The girls were shocked by the sudden entrance, with Indiyah saying: "When I saw him, I was very confused because I had no warning but he is very good looking!"

But the boys were less happy about the arrival, with Luca saying: “Davide! I was thinking I’m the good-looking Italian here and then you’ve sent that geezer through the door."
