Love Island fans complain minutes into final over 'irritating' comment

Love Island fans complained moments into the ITV2 show final over an 'irritating' comment.

Maya Jama returned for the very special final of the Winter series in South Africa, which is airing this evening. Four couples - Tanya and Shaq, Lana and Ron, Tom and Samie and Kai and Sanam - are waiting to find out their fate.

One will be crowned champion for 2023 but all of them have seemingly found close relationships and friendships out of the show, with each couple seemingly stronger than ever as the series went on.

However, fans tuning into tonight's final were quick to complain and took to Twitter to vent their frustrations.

One viewer wrote: "This ‘ we’re ready’ ….They sound like a bunch of pre schoolers #loveisland," whilst a second fan added: "I never want to hear ‘we’re ready’ ever again .. EVER #loveisland."

"stop trying to make "we're ready" happen, its not going to happen #loveisland," a third shared, with a fourth writing: "They're torturing us with 'we're ready' #LoveIsland." A fifth added: "Can’t wait to never hear ‘we’re ready’ EVER AGAIN #loveisland."

A sixth penned: "that whole “we’re ready” s*** the girls do is so f***ing irritating #loveisland."

On tonight's episode, the four remaining couples got a dance lesson, where they were joined by professional dancers who taught them a routine. Whilst Tom said him and Samie were "magicians on the dancefloor," whilst Tanya joked Shaq was stepping on her.

Sanam praised her own professional nature, whilst Lana had high praise for both herself and Ron as she added: "We’re better at this than I thought we would be, we’re going to nail it tonight, hopefully!"

Following that, the girls are heading to a spa day, whilst they all toasted to their "friendships that will last a lifetime." In the spa, the girls worked on their romantic declarations whilst the boys equally did the same.

When the girls walk in, the boys are completely in awe, as Tom toasts to the group ahead of the final: "So guys, we’ve had an amazing run, an amazing journey, we are all here in the final. I love you guys to bits!"

There's some big declarations of love in store for the couples, but who will take home the top prize and who will be place second, third and fourth? Will all the couples go the distance?
