Love Island 2022 has its first couples of the series, as revealed in the launch episode on ITV2 on Monday night.
The girls Paige, Indiyah, Tasha, Amber and Gemma joined host Laura Whitmore in the new villa, expecting to see the boys walk out one-by-one.
But Laura soon confirmed it would be very different this year in a Love Island first, and this time the girls would not get a say.
Instead, it was up to viewers to vote and choose which girl and which boy they wanted to be coupled up.
The show had confirmed the shake-up on Twitter ahead of the launch, with the public told to make their decisions just days before the show would kick off.
A tweet on their official account read: "For the first time ever, you get to have your say on who couples up on Day 1! Head to the app to play matchmaker and pick which boy you think should couple up with each girl. The polls will close at 9am Saturday."
Now the results of that vote are in, with the first five couples of the 2022 series revealed - ahead of bombshell Davide stealing one of the girls for himself.
