Three Louisiana police officers were wounded by gunfire on Sunday in a standoff with a man suspected of shooting three other people in the past week, according to authorities. The injured officers were shot Sunday morning at a home in Kenner, located about 15 miles west of New Orleans. They were promptly taken to a hospital, and their current conditions have not been disclosed.
As of Sunday afternoon, SWAT team officers were still positioned outside the residence where the incident occurred. No arrests had been made at the time of reporting. The individual responsible for shooting the officers was also linked to a separate shooting earlier on Sunday, resulting in injuries to two individuals. Additionally, the suspect is believed to be involved in a robbery and shooting that took place on Tuesday, leaving one man in critical condition.
