Louise Thompson has been flooded with support after revealing she has undergone a life saving procedure.
The former Made In Chelsea star, 34, has been open about battling both bowel condition ulcerative colitis and autoimmune disease lupus.
Ulcerative colitis is a chronic bowel condition where the colon and rectum become inflamed and small ulcers develop on the colon's lining, which can bleed. The condition has no cure, but can be effectively managed with time.
Thompson has also struggled with PTSD and anxiety since she nearly died giving birth to her son Leo-Hunter in 2021.
In a new health update, she shared that she has been fitted with a stoma bag.
Taking to Instagram, she shared a clip in which she can be seen lifting up her top to reveal the pouch, which she told fans "saved my life".
"HOW DO I DISCLOSE THIS SORT OF NEWS?” she began in the lengthy accompanying caption.
"It’s not exactly exciting like a big pregnancy or gender reveal announcement!
"Hey look I’m having a boy… Hey look I’ve got a stoma! So I guess I’ll just stand here. Proud in stature. With my new friend. Le bum bag that represents life. And hopefully a better one.
"Isn’t it bizarre that this little grey pouch is the price I pay for good health!
"I say good riddance to that nasty menacing colon! Please be kind."
In her video, the influencer lifted her top to reveal the pouch, which she told fans "saved my life".
Back in February, fans feared for her health after her fiancé Ryan Libbey revealed she was back in hospital.
The personal trainer, with whom she shares her son, did not disclose the reason at the time.
He wrote on Instagram Stories at the time: "Louise has been in hospital for 12 days now. We don't know when she will be ready to come home yet.
"But thank you to everyone who has sent messages of love and support to our family. It does help."
