Louise Redknapp under fire for 'warmdrobe' tips to battle cost of living crisis

Louise Redknapp faced backlash online after trying to offer ways to keep warm with fashion.

With the cost of living being at the forefront of most people's minds at the minute, many are grateful for tips to keep warm for less this winter. Appearing on Lorraine, the singer and fashion guru offered her best clothing items to stay toasty over the colder months.

She branded the segment as a 'warmdrobe' - but fans weren't impressed.

Taking to Twitter, Michelle said: "A 'warmdrobe'? Get in the bin #GMB #Lorraine. We don't need a wealthy ex footballers wife/popstar giving people advice on getting through the winter. I swear this had better not be 'if you can't afford your heating, simply pull £150 out of your a*** for a pair of Uggs'."

Another user said: "#lorraine A fashion slot ‘with a wardrobe to help you cut down on your heating bill’. What the hell? #ITV."

A third added: "Ha ha tips to keep your heating off for a bit longer. #lorraine Yeah might be funny to you Louise you are not living in a #CostOfLivingCrisis P*** taker!!"

On the show Louise showed off the items as she said: "It's about keeping us warm rather than rooms and areas." She started with boots, as she presented a dupe pair of Uggs for £7 from Primark. She said that if your feet are warm then you are warm.

Next up was a pair of fleecy pants, followed by a gilet. It cost £49.50 from M&S but she said it could be worn a number of ways and would "keep your chest area warm."

She also showed a hot water bottle that you pop your feet in. It was £19.99 from Amazon.
