10 Lotto players were just one number away from scooping tonight's massive jackpot worth over €5,000,000.
The top prize will now roll over until Saturday's draw, though the handful of punters will be kicking themselves, having managed to match five of the six numbers needed for the jackpot.
The Lotto jackpot hasn't been won since March 12 after Wednesday's tally went unclaimed.
The winning numbers were: 6, 8, 38, 39, 45 and 47, with a bonus of 40.
One person did manage to match five and the bonus - earning themselves a cool €42,413.
But the 10 others who missed out by one number only earned €2,543 as a reward, compared to the jackpot of €5,288,745.
In total, over 68, 000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus games.
Meanwhile, EuroMillions players in the coastal village of Ballymoney are today being urged to check their tickets carefully after a Wexford player won the top prize of €500,000 in Tuesday night’s EuroMillions Plus draw.
The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw at Hughes Foodmarket in the village of Ballymoney in Gorey, Co. Wexford.
The Wexford winner, who now has a ticket worth €500,000, is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe. The winner should contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.
