The Lotto jackpot of over £8million has been claimed by a lucky Brit.
Camelot UK Lotteries Limited, operator of The National Lottery, has today confirmed that it has received a claim for the £8,525,949 Lotto jackpot prize won by a single ticket-holder in the draw on Wednesday 27 April, 2022.
As with all major prizes, the claim will now go through the process of validation, which includes checks to ensure the Games Rules Terms and Conditions are adhered to and the integrity of The National Lottery is protected.
Subject to validation the prize will then be paid at an appointment with one of Camelot’s Winners’ Advisers.
Once the ticket has been validated and paid, the ticket-holder will then decide whether or not to go public and share their news.
There will be no information on whether they are an individual or syndicate winner, or where the ticket was purchased, unless the ticket-holder decides to go public.
Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said, “We’re delighted this amazing Lotto jackpot prize has now been claimed. It’s a huge Lotto jackpot win - the second this month after one lucky ticket-holder banked the £5.3M jackpot in the draw on 13 April - and our focus is now on supporting the ticket-holder through the process and helping them start to enjoy their truly life-changing win.
“It’s been a great April already on Lotto, not only have we seen two massive jackpot prizes won but there have also been five further Lotto millionaires created when they matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball in draws this month.
“Here’s hoping for another Lotto jackpot winner on Saturday night (30 April) when there is an estimated £3.8M up for grabs.”
