The Arizona Cardinals face the Philadelphia Eagles on the road in Week 17. One of the big storylines is the return of Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon and defensive coordinator Nick Rallis to Philly, as they were on Nick Sirianni’s staff for two seasons before this year.
So there are known coaching connections.
However, there are also a number of player connections.
The Cardinals have three former Eagles, while the Eagles, between the 53-man roster and the practice squad, have four former Cardinals.
Let’s go over them.
Cardinals LB Kyzir White
White is currently on injured reserve. He was a starter last season for the Eagles.
Cardinals S Andre Chachere
Chachere played the last two seasons for the Eagles before signing with the Cardinals.
Cardinals WR Zach Pascal
Pascal, in his first season with the Cardinals, spent last season with the Eagles, playing mostly on special teams.
Eagles LB Haason Reddick
Reddick leads the Eagles with 11 sacks. He is in his second season with Philly. He was, of course drafted by the Cardinals in the first round in 2017 and played four seasons in Arizona.
Eagles OL Brett Toth
Toth is on the Eagles’ practice squad. He was on the Cardinals in 2019 but did not play.
Eagles OL Lecitus Smith
Smith is on Philly’s practice squad.
He was drafted by the Cardinals last year and started a game last year, appearing in 10. He was cut before the season.
Eagles TE Noah Togiai
Togiai is also on Philly’s practice squad. He signed with the Cardinals in the offseason and was cut before the season after playing for the Eagles last year.
