The Lost Children of Andromeda is an immersive sci-fi experience that mixes elements of literature, art and music. The original book series serves as the foundation for the NFT offshoot, which incorporates the use of non-fungible tokens into the reading experience.

Set 30 years in the future, the “Lost Children” metaverse combines role-playing, storytelling, and a timeline.

Not familiar with the metaverse? Here’s a handy definition: It’s a “digital reality that combines aspects of social media, online gaming, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and cryptocurrencies to allow users to interact virtually,” Investopedia.com said. “Augmented reality overlays visual elements, sound, and other sensory input onto real-world settings to enhance the user experience. In contrast, virtual reality is entirely virtual and enhances fictional realities.

“As the metaverse grows, it will create online spaces where user interactions are more multidimensional than current technology supports. Instead of just viewing digital content, users in the metaverse will be able to immerse themselves in a space where the digital and physical worlds converge.”

Players have the chance to amass sacred items and interact with one-of-a-kind characters from the narrative. Lost Children poses questions designed to provoke deep thought to free players’ creative and imaginative potential.

“We allow the user commercial license rights to use their NFTs as part of their own products, stories, music, etc. in addition to providing the community with the ability to build up their characters and play in order to get them included in future novels,” the company says on its website. “Because the majority of our catalog is acquired through reading and interacting with our content, we like to think of ourselves as the first read-to-earn NFT project.”

The people running Lost Children bill themselves as “independent pioneers at the confluence of literature, immersion and web3. Our goal is to combine old technologies and new technologies while also bringing enjoyment and empowerment together,” they say.

The initial release from this endeavor provides customers with vital technology from this future world, in which information and knowledge are the keys to both their survival and their personal power. Once users have obtained this technology, they have everything at their disposal to reawaken the evolutionary power that is within them and to get the ball rolling on telling their tale.
