Losing a one-off final doesn't make Rohit Sharma a bad captain: Michael Clarke

NEW DELHI: Former Australian captain Michael Clarke came out in full support of Indian skipper Rohit Sharma despite India losing to Australia by 209 runs in the recently-concluded ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final at The Oval in London.

While Rohit's captaincy received criticism and his performance as a batter in the WTC Final was not at its best, Clarke holds the view that the outcome of the final does not define Rohit's abilities as a captain or India's overall strength as a team. Clarke emphasises that a single loss in a high-stakes match does not diminish his leadership skills nor lessen the quality of the Indian team.
