Lorraine fans congratulate star as she shares picture of new family member

ITV morning TV star has wowed her fans with a picture of the newest addition to the team, a puppy called Boycie. Sharing a picvtiure of the tiny bundle of fluff, Lorraine Kelly wrote: "The newest puppy in our team - baby Boycie - and of course I knitted him a blankie. Just the cutest wee boy. So glad he likes it!"

Fans were quick to react.

Vottjo wrote: "What a lucky little furbaby he is!" Shazamataz69 said simply: "Gorgeous."

Simon Hill asked if Boycie is a Cavapoochon and nancywalker2016 added: "Adorable."

Grey Denise said: "He is beautiful." Fleur De La Rose said: "Well that has cleared my Monday morning blues" and added: "Adorable."

Lorraine has previously revealed that having a dog in her life helps her keep fit. She exercises regularly, walking her dog every day and doing online workouts as often as she can. She loves taking a dip outdoors too. “I love wild water swimming – I don’t get to do it as much as I’d like, but now the weather’s getting a wee bit better, I’ll try to do it once a week, for sure. It’s good for you physically, and really good for you mentally too.”

In 2021 she apologised to fans after an 'odd night-time incident with her dog.

She said: “You’ll have to excuse me this morning, I had a very bizarre experience during the night. I thought, it was about half past two, the lights all went on and it was really, really noisy and I thought somebody was having a party in my house.

“And when I went into the living room, Angus had put his head on the remote control and put the telly on, it’s the weirdest thing. Honestly it was so bizarre and I of course couldn’t get back to sleep, so thank you Angus.”

Following a quip from Reid about “dog insomnia”, she replied: “I think he was watching the heavy metal channel on MTV. It was bonkers, you could not make that up could you, it’s completely mad.”
