I'm A Celebrity winner Jill Scott hasn't heard from Matt Hancock - and the 'real reason' why has been rumbled.
Lioness Jill appeared on ITV's Loose Women today where she chatted about her jungle experience and her win, whilst also giving her verdict on her co-stars.
Charlene White, who also headed into the jungle this year, was on hand alongside panellists Coleen Nolan, Frankie Bridge and Janet Street Porter to quiz Jill on her time in the jungle.
As they chatted about the show, Janet soon asked Jill about rumours of a 'feud' with Tory MP Matt Hancock, who caused a furore amongst the public when he confirmed he would be heading onto the ITV show despite parliament still sitting.
On the ITV lunchtime show today, Janet said: "In the papers today, it said Matt Hancock has left the WhatsApp group. I can't prise it out of Charlene so I'm asking, have you been in contact with Matt Hancock?"
Jill said she had not, adding: "I actually haven't since the show. My knowledge of politics isn't that good but when everyone put their jungle outfits on, it's one team... I haven't had a message off him yet, that's the truth."
As the panellists suggested he could send her a copy of his recently released book, Coleen said she was convinced she knew exactly why he had snubbed the footballing star since she came first on the ITV jungle show.
"Or maybe it's because you're a winner and he's a loser," she remarked, leaving the panellists laughing and Charlene stunned.
It comes after Scarlette Douglas revealed that Mike Tindall was the group admin for the I'm A Celebrity WhatsApp group, but decided to not add Hancock into the chat as he "might be too busy", as she shared: " I’m not the admin of that WhatsApp group so if Mike (Tindall) wants to invite him he absolutely can, but it’s not me to put the invitation out so we’ll see what happens.
"He might be busy you never know, he’s doing a lot of stuff, he’s got a lot of press coming up so he might be too busy."
However, she later confirmed he was in the group chat after all.
"He’s now in the WhatsApp group, yes. He was allowed in. He’s in the group, everyone can breathe," she said on Lorraine earlier this week. Hancock caused quite a stir during his time in the jungle. He has since released a book about being Health Secretary during the Covid pandemic. He stepped down from that role after CCTV emerged of him kissing his aide and now girlfriend Gina.
