Wounds deepened for Loose Women's Kaye Adams last night, when she was the first celeb to depart this years series of Strictly Come Dancing, after facing a brutal judges' vote.
The panellist and her pro partner, Kai Widdrington, 27, found themselves wrapped up in the first dreaded dance-off of the season against singer Matt Goss and Nadiya Bychkova - opting to perform their Charleston to Music! Music! by Dorothy Provine. Matt and Nadiya then chose to perform a Samba to Bee Gees hit Night Fever.
After both couples had danced for a second time and final time on the night, the judging panel delivered their verdicts. And the competition came to a quick conclusion for Kaye and Kai, after Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood gave their opposition the nod.

The Liverpool Echo reports that just hours after, Kaye's evening went from bad to worse as she shared an awkward fan encounter back at her hotel. Posting to Twitter, she wrote: "Just ordered room service in my hotel. The nice lady who brought it asked me ‘any idea who went out of @bbcstrictly tonight?’"
Kaye delivered the kicked as she added: "I said ‘me’. Awkward silence."
Her fans were ultimately quick to support her, replying with comments of appreciation for her short time on the BBC dance show. One said: "You were better than the team who stayed in Kaye in my opinion, well done for taking part," while another, wrote: "You did so well giving it a go. Congratulations."
A third, penned: "Aw, it’s a shame. I guess everyone wants to stay as long as possible, but at least you got to experience the training, the glam, the friendships and, silver lining, you don’t have to do a rhumba."
Kaye then went on to post a video this morning, reflecting on her time at the Strictly studios, admitting that she was "gutted" about being voted out. The 59-year-old said: "I'm gutted at myself and I panicked in the dance off. I just panicked.
"I've seen a few comments saying I was like a rabbit in the headlights, and they're right. I was. That was really annoying. Kai tried so hard to say 'come on we can do this'. And I just wasn't able to do that.
"So, I do regret that. But I don't regret signing up for Strictly despite my early exit. I've learned so many things and met so many wonderful people that I will definitely come out of this stronger."
